The President’s State of the Union Address

President Biden delivered the annual State of the Union address on Tuesday. The speech will focus on highlighting the administration’s actions over the past year and bipartisan accomplishments like the passage of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill. It will also focus on finding unity rather than delving into upcoming conflicts like that over the debt ceiling.

After the State of the Union address, the President’s budget proposal is generally sent to Congress. The fiscal year 2024 budget proposal is not expected to be published until March 9, meaning the appropriations process will likely begin later this year. ANCOR will continue to monitor this process and provide updates.
